MOUSETAIL LANDING STATE PARK
This past week, we got our new Habitent in the mail, and we couldn’t wait to use it! So, we decided to hop over to Mousetail Landing State Park to try it out for a night. Mousetail Landing is definitely underrated. We were lucky enough to snag campsite 16 at the end of the peninsula, and the view was gorgeous! We arrived around 6:00pm, so that gave us about an hour to set up and cook dinner before sunset.
There were many fallen trees and dead leaves around the area, so we were able to get plenty of wood for our fire without needing to purchase firewood.
Unfortunately it was a HOT evening, and the bugs were out in full force. So once we finished eating dinner, we went ahead and got into the car for the night.
Sleeping in the Habitent was super comfortable, and we are really pleased with it. Because it was so hot outside, we did occasionally run the AC while the Prius was in “ready mode” throughout the night, but on cooler nights, I don’t expect that we’ll have to do that.
Sunset at Mousetail is beautiful, but honestly, sunrise was ten times better. It was so peaceful and quiet.
Thunderstorms were supposed to start early that morning, so we spent the morning explore the area. Vinay played some music as well.
If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a Habitent for your hatchback, we highly recommend it! It made the car camping experience ten times more cozy.
