CHAND BAORI

Our first morning in Jaipur, we woke up early and headed to the Chand Baori step well. (Location: Near Kheri Gate, Amer, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302028, India). Chand Baori is nestled below a small mountain, surrounded by old Jaipur as well. It is truly a beautiful little area. The Chand Baori is free to visit and is a wonderful afternoon excursion.

Remember to be respectful and not step onto the 3,500 steps in the step well. There is a guard on duty monitoring at all times. At the front of the step well, there is an old temple along with two beautiful pavilions. You might get lucky and meet a goat friend while you are there!
