ANOKHI BLOCK PRINTING MUSEUM

After visiting Chand Baori while in Jaipur, we made our way over to the Anokhi Block Printing museum. I was SO excited to visit this museum. The artists do take a lunch break, so keep in mind that if you go mid-day, you may have to wait for them to get back from lunch. We started by walking around the museum and viewing the displays. There were so many beautiful textiles on display!

As we made our way through the museum, we eventually got to the top where the artist demonstrations occur. We stopped at the carving state first, where the artist showed us his tools, explained the process of carving, and showed us how it is done. He was amazing!

After watching the carver, we made our way over to the printing station. The printing artist was amazing as well! He explained the process, showed us how he prints, and even let us try!

As we made our way out of the museum, we stopped at the gift shop where you can find beautiful textiles created by the artists. Anokhi is a MUST SEE in Jaipur!
